Avery Ever After

Hey everyone, this is Faith! Well today was AVERY DAY, but all has not been well. She's been screaming and crying ever since her nanny left. We've managed to get a few good pictures when she was happy temporarily. Currently she's laying in mom's arms looking like she wants to fall asleep and not crying so we don't want to risk her becoming unhappy again by mom getting up and blogging. But the mother is insisting on getting her blog out tonight, so I've had the task delegated to me.

We had her happy for maybe a good 45 minutes, and during that time we found that she is really quite the sweetheart. Not to mention she is absolutely adorable. =)

First meeting - peace offering of M&Ms

temporarily happy =)

she absolutely LOVED this doll. She fed it and hugged it, and I even saw her give a small kiss to the doll.

all tuckered out from all that crying and screaming. :( poooor baby

  9. Oh, Lord - I pray that you would give Avery's heart rest & peace. We know that the grieving is a good sign and that means Avery loved and was loved - but Father, help her to see that she can still love those she is leaving behind and love her forever family too...Help her heart to experience joy in the next few days and learn to trust her precious family. Amen

p.s. Avery is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Even when she's sad.

  15. Hey Chris, Dave and Faith - Keep up the loving attentions...I'm sure her fears were not unexpected, especially given her age. But the fact that she is mourning her caretaker is a good sign that she can attach. She doesn't understand yet how lucky she is to have a wonderful family like you all, but she will. God is with you. 21. Oh, those first few days are so wonderful and difficult all rolled into one. It's a relief to see that grief, for we know what it means, but - at the same time - it's so hard to watch them grieve. Y'all are now officially a family... praying for y'all that feeling like a family comes sooner rather than later.
