Our Adoption Stories

We began our journey to Shea in January 2006.  We met her for the very first time on Sunday, February 25, 2007.  She became our daughter -forever- on Tuesday, February, 26, 2007.

Shea was a part of the China Special Needs program.  Shea was born with a cleft lip and palate.  Her lip was repaired when she was three months old.  She lived with a foster mommy and daddy who loved her very much.  I am completely grateful to them!!!  Shea's SWI is in Guangyuan City, which is in the Sichuan Province.  And yes, she loves spicy food!  And YES, she has a spicy personality.  :)

She was 26 months old when we adopted her.  All God's Children International helped us to bring Shea home to us!  The process to adopted Shea took about 13 months.

Here is our journal of our time in China with Shea {Dang Fu Hua}.

We began our journey to Avery in September 2008.  We met her for the very first time on Monday, January 18, 2010.  She became our our daughter - forever - on Tuesday, January 19, 2010.

Avery was also a part of the China Special Needs Program.  Her special need was labeled: Abnormal EEG.  She has never shown any signs or symptoms of anything related to an "Abnormal EEG".

Avery was placed into the Qingyuan City SWI, which is in the Guangdong Province. This is where she lived until we adopted her.  Half the Sky partners with her orphanage.

Avery was almost four years old when she finally had a family to call her own.  All God's Children International once again helped us to grow our family.  :)  The process to adopt Avery took about 16 months.

Here is our journal of our time in China with Avery.
