Sisterly Love....most of the time!

These two are becoming fast friends!

Shea has taken Avery under her wing!
I am so proud of my sweet Shea!!!

Avery seems to really enjoy hanging out with Shea!
She watches her every move...
She will do and say whatever Shea does and say....
Sometimes this is good and well, other times....let's just say we have sporadic bouts of complete havoc in this household!!!

Both of my little girls are quite stubborn & head-strong determined....naturally, all the girls in this family seem to have strong opinions. It's just par for the course!!

They will play wonderfully together...then, all of a sudden they are not!
Both will tattle on each other...
One in Chinese...
The other in English!
Both are mad.
Both are indignant.
Both want to be heard!!! In a very loud way!
I just nod my head in sympathy...(trying not to laugh)....and encourage them to 'work it out'.
Soon they are both playing again....
Laughing & giggling!

Shea is all things a big sister should be....
Helpful
Encouraging
Compassionate
Bossy

Avery is adjusting tot her role as the 'baby' of the family quite nicely.
She is a charmer....her little smile and sweet disposition seems to get the best of us!

Oh, how this family is blessed!!!!

Sisters forever!!

*I must apologize for not posting sooner!!!
Avery and I have been suffering from complete jet lag!!!
Traveling home was a pretty good experience...(more on that later).
It's just this sleeping thing we are struggling with!!! :)
Avery has literally fallen asleep standing up!!!
I feel like a zombie...and probably look like one, too!!

Hopefully by the end of the week, we will be sleeping better!!

Thank you for all your kind words and prayers!!!
You will never know how much you all mean to me!!!

I thank my God every time I remember you.

  1. Chris-
So glad to hear you're home and doing well! I was so anxious to get news from you!! Shea and Avery look so cute together. I think it's great that they're bickering - it shows that they're both feeling comfortable.
Have you tried some melatonin to help you sleep and kick that jet lag?

  7. Ohh they are soo cute together! I was so excited to see the pictures! I can only imagine how hectic it is around there right now. Give it 3 months and a new normal will have set in. Is Shea going to school? I was wondering how that was working out. Relax and let it all sink in at home surrounded by family! Sounds wonderful and I'm sure it is! Enjoy! Love yall!

I remember that feeling, It is hard to function. The Harris family loves you all. Joshua is going to shop for both the girls next week. What are their sizes? 13. Hi! We met at the hotel the morning you were preparing to meet Avery (adopted our 4-year-old a week earlier), and we have been wondering how everything was going for you. I stumbled onto your site, and I'm so glad I did -- great to hear that everyone is doing so well! You have a beautiful family! Praying that the sleep routine improves. That is brutal! Thankfully, we all got back to normal about a week after coming home. Many blessings to you and your family.
